Jesuit Senior Healthcare

This is a pivotal time for the Chicago-Detroit and Wisconsin Provinces of the Society of Jesus, as we prepare to form a new entity — the USA Midwest Province. Our new province envisions a bright future: the novitiate is at maximum capacity for a second year, with a total of 93 men in formation and this year 13 men are being ordained to the priesthood.

I see the new space at St. Camillus not as a healthcare place that has Jesuits, but rather a Jesuit community where people get

healthcare. It will accommodate those needing healthcare, but it will not be a retirement community—it will be a religious community for Jesuits at this stage of life.
